Tasha Layton Dec 23, 2001-October 17, 2014

Tasha has been part of our family for almost 13 years. It was so hard to say goodbye. I'm sure it will be hard for a while. Yesterday I was thinking we'd better hurry up and get another pet to fill the void. Today I can't imagine having to go through this again and I never want another pet. It's so hard. We visited the temple when we left the vet. Kenneth opted to stay home, but the younger 3 came. Only Steve stayed with Tasha to the end. I sat in the car and sobbed (after I paid the bill). The kids wailed all the way to the temple. We let them get it out, then we searched for peace on the temple grounds. Coming home to the house was hard. I haven't had the heart to clean out her food and water dish yet. I don't know when I'll be able to, but I'm sure at some point I will. We shared memories and cried last night. Tasha will always be in our hearts.

Nick names

We were in the car today with Angela and Katie. We were talking about how Katie has 5 names... Katherine Paula Webb Kate or Katie. I said you could have 5 names too, Patrick. You are Patrick Russell Layton or Pat or Patty. He laughed and said, "I'm not Patty! I'm not flat, I'm bendy. " Angela and I cracked up.
