The top collage is of our trip to Boondocks - a super fun place with mini golf and water boats and go carts, etc. The kids had a great day. Then, me and the oldest 4 grandsons got to go out on the lake for a few minutes with my parents' neighbors. FUN! Today Grandaddy took the older kids to hit golf balls, then we went to the largest man made waterfalls in the Western Hemisphere at Thanksgiving Point. The gardens were beautiful and we had a great time! After all the festivities my sister-in-law, Jackie, and I made bows for my cousin's baby shower tomorrow...she's having a girl. The 2 round white things on the left are stretchy things that she can attach the bows to until the baby girl grows enough hair to hold the bows on her own.

Boondocks, Boating, and Waterfalls

Laying Tile
Shauna and I spent all day last Friday laying tile in her bathroom down stairs. I WISH I were better at remembering to take BEFORE pictures, but, alas...I have a "work in progress" picture, a photo of me working on the tile saw, and 2 "after photos". We were VERY proud of ourselves because the tile went down perfectly. We also picked out and put together the vanity and sink. Mike still has to glue everything together and actually install the fixture - but it was fun to get a peek at the complete look. I've laid tile before, but I've never used a wet saw. We rocked, don't you think?

More fun
The top photo is me with my oldest friend ever, Shari. I love her to death and I'm so glad we got to see her. The other shots are more of my beautiful daughter.

Fun with dress up
Caitlin and Sophie got fancy hair-dos yesterday, courtesy of Shauna. Caitlin dressed up and danced for us, too.

"After" photos
I do not have any "before" photos of my house...just imagine a 2800 sq ft college dorm and you'll have it. The pictures above are the "after" photos from when my folks came in July. My house looks amazing now - thanks, MOM & DAD!!!
Mon/Tues/Wed
I threw Caitlin a birthday party on Monday...she LOVED it, and all the kids were especially happy that a few of their friends got to stay and play until dinner time.
This is the temple where we stopped on our long drive yesterday. 896.4 miles baby. Are we good or what?
This is what we did today - fun times at the zoo and playing with more friends. YAY!

Another birthday celebration
On the drive from Fremont to Las Vegas, we stopped in Fresno to see Grandma Ackerman and Sara. We celebrated Kenneth's birthday and Caitlin's as well. They enjoyed the gifts and the party as well. It was a nice way to break up the drive.

Fremont
We spent one glorious day in Fremont with the Thompsons. We had a great time - Caitlin enjoyed holding her newest cousin, Keri Ann, who was born on Father's Day and weighed in at 10 lbs and 6 oz.

Birthday fun
The birthday celebration started in Fremont. Jaime's birthday is July 8th, so we had a joint party for the two of them. The picture of them in front of the computer just cracked me up - they were so engaged.
